T3 Alaska, LLC (T3), is a mechanical and electrical engineering design firm, specializing in the design of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical lighting, power, telecommunication and specialty systems for vertical construction.
T3 was founded in January 2015 by Alec Thomson, Tom Allen and Tom Zietlow as a continuation of their previous eighteen-year principal engineering partnership. The partners have spent their entire professional careers working on design projects exclusively within Alaska. In the short time since inception T3 has evolved; Tom Zietlow has retired and Cassie Dalton, Salen Horning and Samantha Redick joined T3 as partners/owners in early 2018.
T3 completely understands the challenges associated with design, construction and maintaining a building’s mechanical and electrical systems in the diverse and harsh climates of Alaska. Two of the owners of T3 graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Anchorage and all the owners were raised in Alaska. Using those life experiences coupled with in state degrees and experience, T3’s partners/teams have excelled at the design of a multitude of facilities in Alaska from Prudhoe Bay to Sitka, Alaska, recognizing all of the extreme weather associated with the Alaskan environment from cold, snow, rain and wind. Each building needs to be carefully addressed and designed based on the environment it is in. T3 is confident in its ability to design systems for any of these conditions.
